Positive parenting has become a tool to change the negative behaviors of Thai children that tend to be more violent. However, punishment and scolding do not solve the problem. In fact, they have unexpected negative effects on children.
Giving sincere praise to children, giving positive and reasonable commands, giving small rewards, and letting children choose and set activities to do together with parents help build good relationships and make children proud and able to change behavior better than giving negative commands or using violence, which not only does not help solve problems but also has the opposite effect.
